We had been with family all day and were looking forward to a quiet meal within walking distance of the hotel. Unfortunately this was quieter than we expected considering the fabulous location essentially right on the beach but there were only three tables with guests We decided to meet some friends for dinner last night and all I can say is that chef Kenny never disappoints. First visit to this restaurant and will not be the last. The perlot was very good, the alligator gumbo was just spicy enough and Happy Hour was great with some really amazing moonshine drinks.

Okay, that maybe a little too far, but let a man live! I had the opportunity to dine at this establishment with two other Jacksonville food bloggers. During the visit we were able to learn a lot from the way Chef Kenny operates his establishment, from the meticulous ways he trains his staff to the different ingredients he uses to put ordinary dishes into a category of its own. The restaurant sits right on the beach and is connected to two of his other restaurants. The interior of this restaurant is amazing with its high ceilings, an open kitchen, and a view that overlooks the water. The first dish that was ordered was the Cast Iron Sizzling Turnips. You have Turnips cooked in a lemon garlic butter and topped with crushed peanuts.
